Where does Simants belong?
from The Bulletin's Front Page

Final poll results
The state says you'd never guess Erwin Charles Simants, now a mild-mannered 58-year-old diabetic, is actually a mass murderer. They say he could be moved to a less restrictive unit in the state mental hospital, where he has lived since 1979, or even be released into the community to a halfway house. County Attorney Jeff Meyer and Audrey Brown, the only surviving member of the family Simants murdered, believe otherwise. District Judge Donald Rowlands will take a trip to Lincoln Aug. 6 to see for himself.
A little more freedom within the hospital is OK. 463 24%
Give the guy a break. Let him out. 595 31%
Keep him right where he is. 854 45%
