I saw someone on tv defending something similar to this for civilian use: http://www.undeadreport.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/12/_us-marine-firing-aa-12-full-auto-shotgun-aa12-machine-shotgun.jpg

Really? Why? You can't hunt with it, most state laws say you can only have a certain number of shells in your shotgun and if you get caught without the plug you get a ticket. And are you really going to fire dozens of shots in quick succession at the range from a shotgun? Probably not. And if you do you're an idiot, honestly, and you're wasting ammo.

Don't say Obama is trying to take away your guns when your beloved Sarah Palin already has a track record of doing just that. http://www.politicususa.com/tea-party-darling-sarah-palin-disarmed-alaska-state-defense-force-militia.html

Yup.

This is a poll question to see where people stand. A poll is not a news report. I see Yoda is waxing eloquent below the short news item and poll announcement at the top of our front page. Also, there is a news report in this week's print edition of the Bulletin, including "on the street" interviews.

Than now where? Federally? State of Nebraska? Ney York? California? Illinios? Wyoming? And what's the difference between: "Yes, a little" and "No, not much at all"? And yes...there is a point to all of this...

It asks about more restrictions, felons are already restricted.

No offense to anyone a the Bulletin, but this poll is a bit misleading. I imagine the 55 people who voted that gun owners should not be restrited a all (55 at the time I wrote this) are assuming otherwise law abiding gun owners. Not people who are oh say convicted felons or such. To say no restrictions at all, mean just that, and that anyone and everyone, regardless of circumstance would be able to own a gun. I don't think that is the case for the vast majority of 2nd Amendment supporters. Afterall, people such as convicted felons chose to surrender their rights when they chose to comit the crime.
