I am not for abortion as a personal choice. With that being said, I feel that every woman should have a choice on what they want. IF a woman was raped, could you imagine what it would be like for her to look at her child everyday and relive those memories? How about a mother that is addicted to drugs and got pregnate while trying to score another hit? Or if a child is going to be born with health complications and can never have a full life? There are times that abortion should be looked at as an option. And those that qoute the Bible as proof that abortion is wrong, how about not judging others less ye be judge!

Has anyone noticed that many people protesting this on the streets here hold signs about God? Do they not realize God doesn't judge? Planned parenthood does many great things for women. If you don't like abortions, don't have one. If you don't like to smoke then don't. if you don't like alcohol then don't drink. If you don't like guns then dont have one. All of these things are a persons rights so rather than judging people encourage them to do dif or just simply keep ur mouth shut since judging is a sin, too. People have abortions for several reasons. Incest, medical, ect. Not just because they were careless.

Witness, you are a sexist bastard. How about if a woman doesn't want a baby but she does want to have sex the man steps up to the plate and wears a condom? It does take two people to get pregnant you know. Here is a novel idea too: the government should make it easier for women to get birth control pills. There has been recent legislation is several states that would tell insurance companies that they cannot pay for women's birth control pills. Small government eh? If we block Planned Parenthood it will only exacerbate the problem because Planned Parenthood hands out free condoms and makes access to birth control pills easier. Planned Parenthood cares more about PREVENTING unintended pregnancies than they do terminating them.

Hey Bulletin, How about you do a survey on C.A.S.A. I think it would be interesting to see the results compared to Planned Parenting!

Planned Parenthood is not the #1 abortion provider in the country. Period. Far from it, so far in fact that they don't even provide abortions! Ever heard of the Hyde Amendment? It makes it illegal for organizations that receive money from the federal government to provide abortions. Research and knowledge is awesome..... As far as abortion being legal or not, consider this: Abortions are a medical procedure. EVERY conservative politician and citizen says the government should have nothing to do with health care or medicine. Buuut those same people say the government should outright ban abortions. You can smell the hypocrisy from a mile away.

As long as abortion is legal (another argument entirely), it should be convenient. Less privileged women should not be deprived of their LEGAL RIGHT because they can't afford to travel long distances while more affluent women have no such impediment to procuring an abortion.

Wow, Daisy Lee. How can you not know that Planned Parenthood is the #1 abortion provider in the US? Do some research.

"Beaner": I recommend that you stop listening to radical anti government radio shows like Alex Jones. And I also recommend that you leave your quaint little white Nebraska town for a long enough time to experience life "on the outside". Planned Parenthood's main goal is to provide crucial medical services at little or no charge for people with no health insurance or for the financially strapped, who as you noted often do come from the inner city. Only 3% of their services are abortion related. They do not perform abortions, they simply educate women on the positive and negative outcomes. They are more concerned with education and prevention. Did you know that you can get free condoms at Planned Parenthood? If everyone took advantage of that then they wouldn't need to educate on abortions. Unwanted pregnancy prevention, not unwanted pregnancy termination. And they do help men too. Men can get prostate exams, screened for testicular cancer, treatment for STDs, the list goes on and on. Planned Parenthood is not the evil satanic beast that popular conservative media portrays them as.

Remember the beginnings of Planned Parenthood and its continued focus. PP started witth margaret Sanger and he views of eugenics where the undesirables should be eradicated. If one cares to look where the vast majority of PP clinics are located, one will find they are located in the inner city and other like socio-economic locations. Consequently, the conclusion one can take from the proposal of PP to locate one of their clinics in Lincoln County is that PP sees in Lincoln County and the surrounding areas a large nest of undesirables that need to be 'counseled' on the 'proper' course of action.
