Our state legislators have not received a raise since 1988. Voters will get the chance to raise their salary from $12,000 to $21,000 a year on an amendment on the primary ballot May 9. The raise also includes an automatic pay increase annually based on the consumer price index up to 4 percent. Should our senators get raises?
