Buffalo Bill Avenue or further west?

Final poll results
The North Platte Bulletin wants your opinion.

After a year-long study, The Schemmer Associates of Lincoln is recommending the city build an extension of Buffalo Bill Avenue south over the South Platte river and an overpass over Interstate-80, rather than a west interchange, to meet the traffic needs of North Platte through the year 2025.

The draft report will be presented to the city council and the public on April 24, at 7:30 p.m. at the Quality Inn and Suites Sandhills Convention Center. The report is now available at the North Platte Public Library, the county courthouse, the county clerk’s office, the city engineers’ office, City Hall and at the Nebraska Department of Roads District office.

The issue of whether the city should extend Buffalo Bill Ave. or build an I-80 interchange further west has been hotly debated for years. What do you think the city should do?

Extend Buffalo Bill Avenue to the south without Interstate access. 833 14%
Build an I-80 interchange further west. 2134 36%
  Not sure. 2975 50%
