Robert  Cecil  Grandel
     Robert Cecil "Bob" Grandel, 73, of North Platte died Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013 at his home surrounded by family. Bob was born March 14, 1940 to Willie Cecil and Clara Clovis Sukraw Grandel at Oakman, Ala.
     He grew up in North Platte where he attended school. He drove heavy equipment for different construction companies.
     In 1967, Bob married Delores Guerra in Kansas and they made their home in North Platte and later divorced.
     He loved fishing and was known as "Walleye Bob" at the inlet. Bob was a good dad and a friend to many.
     He is survived by his children, William (Sherry) Grandel and Diane (Tyler) Holbrook of Lincoln; grandchildren, Brennan Larsen, Johnny Rodriguez, Theresa Longbine and Andrew, Ryan, Anthony, Marie, Bruce, Patrick, Alex, Ti-Anna, Alexis and Zoie Grandel; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Clara (Serge) Dragutin of Lake Forest, Calif.; his brother, Edward (Wynona) Grandel of North Platte; nephews, David (Joni) and Dominique Grandel; other family and his many friends.
     Bob was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Gregory; and a niece, Rhonda Murrain.
     Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15, 2013 at Odean Colonial Chapel with Joe Sukraw officiating. Cremation will follow the service. Odean Colonial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
