Mary  Jane  Seeman
     Mary Jane Seeman, 79, of McCook, passed away Feb. 20 at University of Colorado Medical Center in Aurora, Colo. Mary Jane was born on July 28, 1933 in McCook to James Abraham and Cora Myrtle (Schoenholz) Jeffers.
     She graduated from McCook High School in 1951. Mary Jane loved to swim and served as a life guard during her high school years.
     On April 29, 1954 she was united in marriage to Dale A. Seeman at McCook. They made their home on a farm north of McCook.
     Mary was an instrumental part of the farming operation as well as a busy mother and housewife. They retired from farming in 2008 and moved to Willow Ridge Retirement Senior Living Community in McCook.
     Mary was an enthusiastic doll collector. Her collection consisted of all kinds of dolls including painted China dolls to Barbie dolls. Other hobbies included ceramics, gardening, both vegetable and flowers, sewing and jigsaw puzzles. She also was an avid Husker Volley ball fan and loved to read.
     Survivors include her husband of 58 years of McCook; daughter, Candy Burchard of Aurora, Colo.; sons, Steve Seeman of Stamford and Mike Weskamp of Aurora; two sisters, Darden Weskamp of McCook and Shirley Wagner of Minnesota; three grandchildren, Matthew Burchard, Sara and Christopher Weskamp.
     Preceding her in death were her parents; brother, Todd Jeffers; and sister, Ruth Wayley.
     Funeral services were Feb. 26 at 2 p.m. at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home in McCook with Jerry Beckenhauer officiating. Cremation followed the service. Carpenter Breland Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
