Jennifer Ellen June, 48, of Milford, passed away in her home with her family around her on Jan. 8. She was born in North Platte to Mary Beth Matson and James Dodson on Sept. 4, 1964.
Jennifer earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Nebraska.
Before she was a wife and mother, Jennifer spent seven years in professional theatre, working in costuming at the Santa Fe Opera and in the Longwharf Theatre in New Haven, Conn.
While still in the University of Nebraska, she appeared in the movie "Terms of Endearment." She was personal friends with several entertainment figures, including Julie Harris, Charles Nelson Reilly, Kevin Spacey and many others.
Two years ago, Linda Purl had the bright idea to fly her to Hollywood for the 25th anniversary of the play "Baby Dance," in which they had worked together on Broadway. Jennifer was to be Purl''s "Show and Tell" surprise. She had a wonderful time reconnecting with the actors, directors, producers, stage hands and musicians that she had known in New York.
Along with her husband Philip June, she was the co-owner of the Beachcomber in Milford.
She is survived by her mother, of North Platte, husband, children Alexander, Christopher, Philip, Stephanie and Samuel June all of Milford, brother Kelly Dodson (Bonnie) of San Diego, Calif., sisters Erin Call (Bob) of Fort Collins, Colo. and Amy Lugsch (David) of Persia, Iowa, mother-in-law Antoinette June of Stratford, Conn., sisters-in-law Regina June Gezelman (Lee) of New Britain, Conn. and Dianne Auger (Joseph) of Stratford, many beloved nieces and nephews, and family member Tyler Brennan.
Jennifer was preceded by her father.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Jan. 12, in St. Mary''s Church, Gulf St. Milford. Interment was private. Smith & Sefcik Funeral Home in Milford handled the arrangements.
