Dyle  Barnett  Cameron
     Dyle Barnett Cameron, 93, of North Platte, died Jan. 11, at Great Plains Regional Medical Center in North Platte. Dyle was born Jan. 16, 1919, at Madrid, to Earl Barnett and Veryl Belle Weaver Cameron.
     He graduated from North Platte High School with the class of 1937. Dyle entered the Army Air Corps in 1942, serving stateside and in the Pacific Theater.
     After his discharge in 1945, Dyle was employed by the Railway Express Agency for 31 years. He then worked for JC Penny for five years until retiring in 1980.
     On October 6, 1976, Dyle married Florence Bernice Wills Eggers, who passed away in 2006.
     Dyle enjoyed wood working, painting by numbers with oil, yarn stitchery and latch hook work. He also liked to tend to his yard and garden. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and a past member of Platte Valley Lodge No. 32.
     Survivors include the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many friends.
     He was preceded in death by his wife; and his parents.
     Graveside funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16, in Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens with Pastor Tom Wiles officiating. Odean Colonial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
