Floyd  William  Hinrichsen
     Floyd “Hank” William Hinrichsen, 82, of North Platte, passed away Dec. 28, at his home. Hank was born Mar. 9, 1930 in Overton to Walter and Anna (Hemstrom) Hinrichsen.
     He grew up in Overton and then went to work for the Union Pacific Railroad. From 1951-1953 he served in the Army, including 16 months in Korea. He came home and returned to work for the Union Pacific.
     He married Margery Lewis, on May 16, 1954. He retired from the railroad in 1991. He enjoyed fishing, waterskiing and his family, especially his grandchildren.
     Hank is survived by his wife Margery; daughter Kim Hinrichsen of North Platte, son Keith (Cathy) Hinrichsen of North Platte; grandhildren Gregory (Pricilla) Vega, Nicole Vega, Alexis and Alex Hinrichsen; great grandchildren Taysen and Emma Vega; siblings Wilmer Hinrichsen of Elm Creek, Dean Hinrichsen of Overton, Ray (Mary Jane) Hinrichsen of Grand Island, Jay (Deliah) Hinrichsen of Kearney, Delores (Louie) Roper of Sargent, Phyllis (Norm) Richardson of Elm Creek, and Lucile (George) Moore of Overton.
     He was preceded in death by his parents.
     A memorial has been established to the Nebraska Children’s Home.
     Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Dec. 31, at the Adams & Swanson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Doug Delp officiating. Burial followed at Ft. McPherson National Cemetery with full military honors. Adams & Swanson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
