Leann  Sue  Halvorson
     Leann Sue Halvorson, 49, of North Platte, passed away Thursday, November 8. Leann was born May 15, 1963 to Charles and Mary Carland.
     She grew up and attended school in North Platte, attending Mid Plains Community College after graduation. In 1986 she married Ronald Eugene Halvorson. The couple made their home in North Platte where she worked at various places and was a member of the Eagles Club.
     Leann enjoyed collecting items such as candles. She enjoyed her pets. If she didn''t have a cat, she had a dog or vice versa and she always had a bird. Some of her favorite shows were Dances With Wolves, Little House on the Prairie and Monday Night Wrestling. Leann will be remembered as a very unique, loving and charismatic person.
     Leann is survived by her children Tabrinna (Will) Jones of Waverly, Neb., Charles Halvorson of Lincoln; brother Frank (Sandi) Carland of North Platte; grandson Brandon Lee Jones of Waverly; brother-in-law Larry Hovey of North Platte; nieces Janice, April, Misty, Crystal, Amber and Crystal; nephews Travis and Derek; and several great nieces and nephews, and aunts and uncles.
     Leann was preceded in death by her parents; brother Charles; sister Lola Hovey; grandparents Gertrude and Claude Fisher and Walter and Lydia Carland; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
     Funeral services were 10 a.m. Tuesday, November 13 a.m. at the Adams & Swanson Funeral Home with the Rev. Frank Fitch officiating. Burial followed at the Garfield Cemetery. Adams & Swanson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
