Sharon  Ilee  Tomlinson
     Sharon Ilee Tomlinson, 70, of North Platte, passed away at North Platte Care Center on September 21. She was born May 30, 1942 in Grand Junction, Colo. to William and Jennifer (Lierly) Drake.
     Sharon grew up in California in the East Bay Area. She graduated from Richmond High School in Richmond, CA and attended Contra Costa College for two years. She married Reed Tomlinson on February 14, 1970 in Richmond, Calif. The couple moved to North Platte in 1975, then back to California. They returned to North Platte in 1994.
     Sharon volunteered in the kindergarten class at Jefferson School. She enjoyed NASCAR. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, making them the center of her life.
     She is survived by her husband Reed, and two sons Jonathan (Michelle) Tomlinson and James Tomlinson, all of North Platte; Brothers Greg Drake of Boston, Geoff Drake and Kelly Drake of California; Sister Sue Kintz of California; Six grandchildren, Christopher Arneson, Shaquille Merksick, Jordan Cook (Tomlinson), Breaonna Coleman (Tomlinson), Anthony Tomlinson all of North Platte and Fletcher Tomlinson of Lincoln.
     Sharon was preceded in death by her parents and sister Shelly McKinney.
     The memorial service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday September 26 at Adams and Swanson Chapel with Pastor Gary Smith officiating. Cremation was chosen and burial will be at a later date. Adams and Swanson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
