Helen  Jeannette  Garrelts
     Helen Jeannette Garrelts, 93, of Gothenburg, died July 4 in Gothenburg.
     She was born March 19, 1919 in Moorefield, NE, daughter of Floyd and Cora ( Kishmer) Mosley.
     She graduated from Gothenburg High School in 1937.
     Helen married Earl Garrelts Sept 5, 1937. She and her husband celebrated 68 years of marriage before his death in 2006.
     She and her husband (Earl) farmed and ranched north of Brady from 1943 - 1973.
     They moved to Fort Collins, CO and lived there 23 years until 1996 when they returned to Brady.
     In 1987 they started wintering in Apache Junction, AZ and enjoyed doing so until 2000.
     Helen worked as a homemaker and enjoyed working with ceramics. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed traveling.
     Helen loved music of any kind especially music with her family. She was a member of the American Lutheran Church.
     Surviving are two sons, Blaine (Patricia) Garrelts, of Brady and Larry (Cheryl) Garrelts of Layton, Utah;
     six grandchildren-Betty Jean, Lynda, Karen, Richard, Deanna, Sheri; five step-grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 15 step great-grandchildren, and several great great-grandchildren.
     Helen was preceded in death by her parents Floyd and Cora Mosley and her husband Earl Garrelts.
     Visitation was held at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, Gothenburg; Sunday, July 08 at 2-8 p.m. with the family present from 2-4 p.m.
     Services were held at Blase-Strauser Memorial Chapel, July 9 at 2 p.m. with Pastor Ken Sawyer officiating.
     Interment followed in the Gothenburg Cemetery.
