Twylla  Berg
Twylla Berg, age 75, of North Platte, went to be with the Lord on June 15 at her home with her family by her side. Twylla was born on August 29, 1936 to Frank Marion and Tilda Verean (Neal) Walter in North Platte where she has been a lifelong resident. Twylla graduated from North Platte High School with the class of 1955.
She married her high school sweetheart Dolan Berg on December 11, 1955. To this union five children were born; Stephen, Keven, Karan, Scott, and Jim. Twylla spent most of her married life as a stay at home housewife and mother. After her children left home she worked at Schweser''s Clothing, then at the Hampton Inn as a breakfast hostess.
Twylla and Dolan enjoyed traveling together. The highlight of their trips was to the Holy Land. In December of 1966, she accepted the Lord as her Savior and spent many hours praying for her family and friends, and attending Bible study classes. She was a member of the Berean Church where she and Dolan attended with their children. Twylla also spent many years volunteering at Maranatha Bible Camp.
Survivors include her husband Dolan of North Platte; daughter, Karan (Robert) Andreason of North Platte; sons, Scott (Stacey) Berg of North Platte, and Jimmy (Amanda) Berg of Angelton, Texas; stepmother, Annamae Walter of Ainsworth, NE; a half brother, Bill (Marlene) Songster of North Platte; grandchildren, Jeremy, Jake, Josh, Misti, Matt, Marshall, Ashton, Jalanea, Tracey, Brent, Danial, and Emily; and two great-grandsons, Evan and Caleb. She was preceded in death by her father and mother; two sons, Stephen and Keven; a step sister, Sharon Mobbs; two step brothers, Ron Hall and Chuck C. Songster; step father, Charles C. Songster. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the Maranatha Bible Camp. Online condolences can be made at www.adamsswanson.com.
Funeral Services were 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 19 at the North Platte Berean Church with the Rev. John Stone officiating. Burial was at the North Platte Cemetery. Adams & Swanson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
