Marjorie Katheryn Masters, 86, of Prattville, AL formerly of Henderson, TN and North Platte died Sunday, May 6, at the Prattville Health and Rehab in Alabama. Marjorie was born July 26, 1925, to Delbert Wilbur and Violet Mae Kisler Haynes at Bradshaw, York County, NE. She grew up in Maxwell and after receiving her education she went to work in North Platte. Marjorie married Arbor Ronald Masters on August 3, 1945, in Oberlin, KS and they made their home in North Platte. In 1963, they moved to Corvallis, OR and later to California and Colorado before moving back to North Platte. She owned Rite Fit Alterations in North Platte for several years. In 2004 she moved to Tennessee and in 2011 she moved to Alabama. Marjorie was a member of the Plainview Church of Christ in Henderson, TN and the Church of Christ in North Platte. She is survived by her daughter, Beverly (Brian) Leyba, of Fairfield, CA; five grandchildren, Ron (Dana) Zimmerman, Philip Zimmerman, Sandra (Vic) Napier, Michelle Leyba and Chandra (Cory) Hackworth; seven great-grandchildren, John Capps, Krista Ellison, Michelle Ward, Rainy Zimmerman, Hunter Zimmerman, Justice Hackworth, and Jaden Hackworth; four great great-grandchildren, Austin Ellison, Devon Ellison, Alexis Ward and Christian Ward; two sisters, Florence (Lloyd) Hilton, of Denver, CO and Marlene Bernier, of Meriden, CT; a brother, Dwayne (Doris) Haynes, of Oklahoma City, OK; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and other family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arbor; her parents, Delbert and Violet Haynes; five sisters, Carolyn Burns, Joyce Hatfield, Vivian Skelton, Gloria Bogus and Rozella McMurtry; and a brother, Donald Haynes. Visitation were Monday, May 14, 10 a.m. with a funeral service at 11 a.m. at the Church of Christ on Walker Road with Ned Cooper officiating. Burial will be in Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens.
