Mary Ann Schmidt, 63, of Callaway died Saturday, November 14, 2009 at the Callaway Hospital.
She was born Oct. 22, 1946 in Brooklyn, New York to Marie Coyne. Mary Ann was raised in Brooklyn by her maternal grandparents, John and Anna Hallock.
Mary Ann was united in marriage to Donald Schmidt on Feb. 6, 1965 in Brooklyn. They moved to Nebraska in 1966. To their union, three sons were born.
Survivors include her loving brother of 44 years, Donald of Callaway; sons, Timothy (Fumi) Schmide of Oahu, Hawaii, Shane (Cynthia) Schmide of Lexington, Ricky (Shanna) Schmide of Hastings; grandchildren, Amanda, Melissa (Tanner) Eppes, Erick, Zach, Brooke, Hyuga, Alex, Johnathan; sister-in-laws, Linda Coyne and Joan Schmidt; half-brother, Robert Finley as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
Mary Ann was preceeded by her grandparents, maternal mother, brother John Coyne, half-sister Loretta Finley, bother-in-law Dean Schmidt and niece Jo Yvonne.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Nov. 19 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Callaway. Reverends Anthony Thekkekara and Jim Hunt will officiate. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Callaway.
