Jones, Lashley lead after first day of Junior AmbassadorTell North Platte what you think
 

Jake Jones and Morgan Lashley are the leaders of the Junior Ambassador Classic after the first day of the annual golf meet held in North Platte on Monday.

In the boys' 16-18-year-old division, Jones shot a score of 70 at the Lake Maloney Course to lead halfway through. Chesney Tatman was just one stroke behind at 71. Tanner Ruda is in third with a 76. Kort Steele fourth at 78.

In the girls' 16-18 division, Lashley shot a 79 to have a big lead after day one. In second place is Kira Mestl at 88.

There are five divisions for the boys and three for the girls played in the Ambassador Classic.

Jayden Jones and Clayton Murphy are co-leaders in the 14-15-year-old division with both having a score of 73. In the 13-14 boys division, Colbi Smith has the lead with an 81. In the 11-12 boys is Luke Hiltibrand with 89 and for seven to 10-year-olds is Cooper Federson who had a score of 41 on nine holes.

In the 13-16-year-old girls' division, Baylee Steele leads with a score of 80 and in the seven to 12-year-old girls is Makinley Mitchell with a 50 on nine holes.

The second day of the Junior Ambassador will be played on Tuesday at River's Edge Golf Club.
