Barbara Fox was convicted Tuesday of theft by deception of more than $1,500 from a North Platte mobile home court.

Fox, 59, did not contest the charge.

Police said that Fox, the ex-property manager at Mobile Manor mobile home park, stole around $18,000 from the business from February to June 2013.

The theft was reported to police on July 1, 2013, according to the police report.

After a police investigation, Fox was booked into jail on Aug. 20 that year and released on her own recognizance, according to sheriff’s records. She has waited more than a year for the case to work through the courts.

Fox will be sentenced on Oct. 20.
