Rhett appeared at Nebraskaland Days in 2013, opening the show for Kid Rock. He turned in a solid performance, revving the crowd to a high pitch before a rain-shortened Kid Rock appearance.

From the outside looking in, the rise of Rhett as a country music star may seem relatively rapid, but for the Georgia native, the 2013 release of his big debut album It Goes Like This was a long time coming.

Rhett co-wrote several hit country songs, some for Jason Aldean, including "Parking Lot Party," a hit for Lee Brice and “Round Here” by Florida Georgia Line.

“We held off (on the album) for a very long time,” Rhett says of the two-year process.

He and The Valory Music Co. waited for the right moment, and found it. The single from which the album takes its name became a platinum-selling smash-hit.

A follow up single, "Get Me Some of That", went to No. 1 in early 2014. Another single, "Make Me Wanna" was released to country radio on Aug. 4.

Florida-Georgia Line will close the Nebraskaland Days summer jam concert series on Saturday, June 27.

Ticket sales begin on Thursday morning.

For the second year in a row, a combo ticket is available for those wishing to go to both concerts. The combo price for both concerts is $89. Single night tickets are available at $39 and $59 respectively.

The combo will only be available through the Christmas season, Nebraskaland Days Executive Director David Fudge said.

Patrons who previously purchased single night tickets will be contacted with the opportunity to upgrade to combo tickets, Fudge said. That includes the front “Golden Circle” section, which is sold out for the Florida-Georgia Line show.

Ticket sales begin at 9 a.m. Thusday online at: www.nebraskalanddays.com
