St. Pat's students head back to schoolTell North Platte what you think

On Sunday, the North Platte Catholic schools will kick off the year with a back to school Mass at 5 p.m. on the grass east of the high school building.

This is a tradition for families to gather in prayer to start the school year. Following Mass, hot dogs will be served as well as a brief open house for Kindergarteners to see their new classrooms before starting school on Tuesday.

Teachers will report for CPR/AED training Monday at North Platte Community College while the freshman class will report to school at 8:30 a.m. for a brief breakfast followed by a study skills class and teacher information sessions.

All K-12 students will report to class on Tuesday, Aug. 19 for the first day of classes of the 2014-15 school year.
