Francisco A. Garcia
Police arrested Francisco Garcia, 72, on Tuesday and charged him with sexual assault of two adolescent girls.
The investigation began June 4, when two girls -- a 12-year-old and a 13-year-old – who were friends complained, police spokesman Rodney Brown said.
During separate interviews at child advocacy centers, both girls said Garcia invited them to his apartment after swimming in the apartment complex pool at 221 W. Francis.
Once they were in Garcia’s apartment, he allegedly paid them to perform a sexual act and assaulted them, Brown said.
Police found probable cause to arrest Garcia. He is charged with two counts of first-degree sexual assault of a child. His bond was set Wednesday at $250,000.
