A North Platte man who allegedly ran up nearly $3,000 in expenses with a stolen credit card and was arrested Sunday.

Police went to a house around 9:15 p.m. Saturday in the 1200 block of S. Willow to check out a reported theft. A 50-year-old man there told them that, after losing his credit card sometime the night before, someone else used the card to make about $2,900 in purchases from local businesses. 

Police identified suspect Joseph Moody, 27, through a security video, spokesman Rodney Brown said.

Moody was charged with unauthorized use of a financial transaction device and jailed. His bond is set at $25,000.
