Scott A. Shoemaker
Police arrested a North Platte man Thursday on suspicion of sexually assaulting a child, acting on a complaint that was filed Tuesday.
Investigator John Deal said police went to the 200 block of S. Cottonwood Tuesday to check out the reported assault. A 16-year-old boy, with his parents present, made a complaint about an event that allegedly occured three weeks earlier at Shoemaker's house.
The boy was further interviewed Thursday at the Bridge of Hope, and after the interview, police found probable cause to charge Scott Shoemaker, 28.
Shoemaker was arrested without incident and taken to jail, Deal said.
His bond is set at $250,000.
