NebraskaLand Bank joins 'Backpack' for studentsTell North Platte what you think

NebraskaLand National Bank kicked off a“Fill the Backpack” promotion Wednesday to support students and teachers as they head back to school.

The promotion will be conducted through the bank’s facebook page, July 30-Aug. 15 to raise funds for classrooms in local schools, spokeswoman Danielle Nichols said.

Each new NebraskaLand National Bank Facebook “like” equals a $1 donation, up to $100 for each classroom. The bank will donate to a new classroom every 100 new page likes, up to 10 classrooms, Nichols said.

The community can also nominate a teacher or classroom to be the recipient of the donation. The nominations will be put in a drawing and funds awarded to winners. Nichols said the Bank hopes to reach their goal of awarding 10 classrooms $100 each.

The page is www.facebook.com/nebraskalandbank.
