Chad O. Williams, 29, of North Platte was charged with domestic abuse Wednesday afternoon by his domestic partner, who said he beat her up after they argued in their car.

The woman told police that Williams hit her in the face, and then continued to assault her in front of their home, striking her, grabbing her by the hair, pinning her to the ground and kicking her.

The assault allegedly occurred in the 2300 block of East Philip, police spokesman Rodney Brown said.

Williams was charged with felony third-degree domestic assault. The charge was enhanced because of prior conviction, Brown said.

He was taken to jail and held on a $10,000 bond.
