Blast to offer free events at Cody ParkTell North Platte what you think

On Friday, Aug. 1, the Cody Park pool will be open at no charge from 4-9 p.m. and free kids rides will be given at the park during the same hours.

Free hot dogs will be served from 5-7 p.m. or until they run out, and each child will be entitled to a free ice cream cone.

The municipal band will perform at 8 p.m. and an outdoor movie will be shown at dusk.

“It’s going to be a great evening for kids to have fun, play some games from the multiple vendors who will be there and win some fun prizes, at no cost to the parents,” organizer Scott Chase of Keith’s Body Shop said.

The evening is sponsored by Keith’s Body Shop, Eagle Radio and Nebraskaland National Bank.

“We at Keith’s are proud to be a locally owned repair shop in North Platte and love being a part of this community.  This is our way of saying thank you for supporting our business by allowing and trusting us to handle your repair,” Chase said.
