Robert W. Pinson
A Colorado man had permission to be where he was Tuesday morning, but a complaint tripped him up and he ended up in jail on 11 previous charges.
At around 8:10 a.m. Tuesday, police went to a home in the 600 block of E. 12th to check out a report of two suspicious men entering a fifth-wheel camper trailer.
When police arrived, they found three suspects -- two men and a woman, police spokesman Rodney Brown said.
Brown said one of the men, Robert Pinson, 23, of Colorado Springs, is wanted elsewhere for a bundle of petty crimes.
Pinson is wanted in Dawson County for such crimes as no operator’s license, two counts of leaving the scene of a property accident, two counts of marijuana possession, as well as possession of marijuana paraphernalia, theft of services (less than $200).
Pinson is also wanted in Gosper County for driving under suspension and marijuana possession. And, he is wanted in Buffalo County for shoplifting ($201-499).
Pinson was also on probation. He was searched and a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia was found, for which he was cited, Brown said.
Pinson was jailed for the warrants.
Brown said that no one else was cited and it turned out that Pinson had permission to be at the trailer after all.
