Work set to begin again on Rodeo RoadTell North Platte what you think

Resurfacing of Rodeo Road will begin in earnest Monday, now that the July 4th weekend and Nebraskaland Days are over.

The street will be milled and overlayed with a new surface. Traffic will be restricted to one lane in either direction. Intersections may be closed for short periods of time.

The resurfacing is expected to be finished by mid-August, according to the city's contracted engineer Tom Werblow.

Motorists are advised to take alternate routes when possible. If you use Rodeo Road, excercise caution and follow the instructions of traffic flaggers, Werblow said.

Work begain in May on Rodeo Road but was suspended for the Nebraskaland Days celebration.
