South Platte River at North Platte, just before the crest, 7 p.m. Tuesday
The South Platte River crested at 11.4 feet on Wednesday and was 10.8 feet on Friday. It will decline to around 10 feet by Tuesday morning, according to National Weather Service measurements in North Platte.
High water from mountain snowmelt coupled with heavy rainfall across the upper Platte River basins will keep levels high on the South Platte River through the weekend, the National Weather Service in North Platte says.
Minor flooding will continue in low lying areas along the South Platte, including the Iron Eagle golf course. The river will continue decline into early next week, the weather service says.
Minor flooding is also occurring at Brady and upstream at Roscoe, the weather service says.
