Contributing to the health system’s unprecedented growth in five years, Great Plains Regional Medical Center now provides a comprehensive spine center in North Platte.

Orthopaedic Spine Surgeon Dr. Dan Noble began seeing patients at Great Plains Spine Center this week.

“As a healthcare organization, we have worked hard to bring needed services to our region so that patients don’t have to travel far for quality care,” said Mel McNea, Great Plains Regional Medical Center interim chief executive officer.

“With his experience and reputation for outstanding patient care, Dr. Noble will be an excellent addition to our medical community,” McNea said.

In 1996, Noble moved to Lincoln, Nebraska, to begin his practice in adult and pediatric spinal surgery. He has served as president of the Lancaster County Medical Society and the Nebraska Medical Association. A lieutenant colonel in the Nebraska Air National Guard, Dr. Noble left his practice in 2012-2013 when he was activated and deployed first to Qatar and subsequently to Afghanistan as a flight surgeon.

“I am pleased to be part of the North Platte community and look forward to serving the spine surgery needs of our area at the Great Plains Spine Center,” Noble said.

Located in the Great Plains Physician Office Building at 611 W. Francis St., Suite 290, the spine center helps patients regain the fullest function of their back as possible, following injury or illness.

Noble’s areas of specialty include conservative and operative management of the spine including minimally invasive spinal surgical techniques of the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spine. He is also experienced in reconstructive spinal surgery including cervical and lumbar fusions, disc replacements, spinal stenosis surgery, and outpatient spine surgery and injections.

Noble received his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, where he also completed his residency and a fellowship in spinal surgery. He completed a second fellowship in spinal surgery from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada.

“I am pleased to be part of the North Platte community and look forward to serving the spine surgery needs of our area at the Great Plains Spine Center,” he said.
