The Lincoln County Historical Museum has a lot of new attractions and old favorites planned for the annual Heritage Festival on June 28-29. Think you might be the next Wyatt Earp? Try your hand at cowboy fast draw competition and measure your performance agains a gunfighter.
A barrel wagon train will ciruclate around the grounds. A display will show how to make rope by hand.
If you like music and entertainment, see Chris Kennedy perform, “All Those Miles Going." Willard Hollopeter will present cowboy poetry. The Flat Rock Irregulars and the Gospel Lites will perform on the festival stage. On Sunday afternoon, North Platte’s Municipal Band will perform.
If antique farming is your love, check out the antique tractor parade or the tractor rodeo. Watch old machinery bale and shell.
