Pencils, Prayers preschool graduation heldTell North Platte what you think

The Pencils and Prayers preschool graduation was held Thursday, April 24 in Sutherland.

With friends and family present, 25 preschoolers presented corsages to their moms. Songs were shared and keynote speakers Jalyne Schuster and Tyler Fear, (grandchildren of Gege Roberts) shared the inspirational poem “Little by Little" and helped hand out diplomas during the cap and gown ceremony.

Organizer Barb Baldridge expressed appreciation to Marge Holm, Patsy True, Jan Dancer and Janelle Beveridge for serving cake and refreshments; to Zoe Beveridge's Aunt Mary Fairley for the graduate's cookies, and Eliana's grandma for the special handmade "Mortar Board" lollipops.

Baldridge also thanked some preschoolers’ older brothers (all former preschoolers) Bennett and Conner Floyd, Jack Buscher, Jace Smith, Conner Hogan and Hoyt Dancer served as ushers.

Baldridge also expressed special thanks to preschool assistants Keri Fisher and Gege Roberts, to Pastor Kola, SUMC Team Leadership and the Sutherland United Methodist Church for allowing Pencils and Prayers Preschool to call Sutherland its home.
