St. Pat's High to get new roofTell North Platte what you think

The roof of St. Patrick's high school will be replaced during the summer along with some other building improvements.

The North Platte Catholic Schools Board of Education met  May 13 for its monthly meeting.

Superintendent Kevin Dodson led the St. Pat's school board on a tour of the facilities May 13 to look at summer maintenance plans.

In addtion to replacing the roof at the high school, cement in front of McDaid Elementary will be repaired, and possibly the front entryway of St. Pat’s will be renovated.

Dodson also told the board that he is still working to fill teaching vacancies for high school English and preschool.

Dodson reminded the board of the dates for Nebraskaland Days events, and thanked activities director Mark Skillstad for his hard work and for coordinating concession sales each summer. Skillstad said the concession sales during Nebraskaland Days events are the primary fundraiser for the St. Pat’s activities association.

The next school board meeting will be held at 7 p.m. on June 17 in the St. Patrick’s High School library.
