Twenty-one St. Patrick High School seniors were recognized May 14 for their educational achievements during the annual senior honors assembly.

Brittany Lawrence received the Top Average Award for English, Math, and Spanish. Collin Pieper received Top Average for Science, Social Science, and Business. Jacob Cook received Top Average for Religion. Sixteen seniors were recognized for being on the honor roll this year.

Chase Kimberling was recognized for having perfect attendance his senior year.

Recognized as thirteen year students at North Platte Catholic Schools were: Brandon Adkins, Jared Brosius, Zandra Carlini, Tanner Castillo, Julia Flores, Alexander Harms, Brittany Lawrence, Mark Mayfield, Collin Pieper, Breelyn Saner, Andrew Thalken, and Tristen Winder.

Alexander Harms received the School Board Outstanding Senior Award, selected annually by the faculty.

Brandon Adkins received the Mary Salcetti Pandorf Scholarship, Chancellor’s Scholarships from University of Nebraska-Omaha and the University of Nebraska-Kearney, Chadron State College Claude H. Lefler Memorial Scholarship, James Canfield Scholarship from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and the Presidential Academic Excellence Award. He was also awarded the SPVA ACT Top 10 Medal and is an alternate for the Eagles Auxiliary #2839

Nathaniel Beattie received the following scholarships: Haven & Virginia Smith Scholarship, Cash for College Scholarship and earned the Presidential Academic Excellence Award.

Jared Brosius received the following: Sharon Goffena Welton Memorial Scholarship, Ag Valley Co-Op Scholarship, American Red Cross “Young Minds Change Lives” Scholarship, Benedictine College Scholastic Award, North Platte Community College Inter-High Day Scholastic Contest – Information Technology Scholarship, and he earned the Presidential Academic Excellence Award. He was also awarded the Monday Musicale Award, National Choral Award, and the Top Senior Drama Award.

Zandra Carlini received the American Red Cross “Young Minds Change Lives” Scholarship, Kent Boyer Memorial Scholarship, S.A.I.N.T.S. Scholarship, MidAmerica Nazarene University Academic Scholarship, and the North Platte Art League Outstanding Artist Award. She also earned the Presidential Academic Excellence Award and Outstanding Senior Artist Award.

Tanner Castillo received the United States Air Force Certificate of Acceptance.

Victoria Caudillo received the Mid-Plains Community College Board of Governors Tuition Scholarship and the University of Nebraska-Kearney College of Education Foundation Scholarship.

Jacob Cook received the following: Eagles Aerie #2839 Scholarship, Linda Rae Harrach Memorial Scholarship, University of Alabama Collegiate Scholar Scholarship, Creighton University Founders Award Scholarship, Nebraska Wesleyan University President’s Scholarship, Nebraska Wesleyan University Achievement Scholarship, University of Nebraska-Omaha Chancellor’s Scholarship, University of Nebraska –Lincoln Pepsi Scholarship for Outstanding Leadership and Service, University of Nebraska David Distinguished Scholar Scholarship, Wayne State College Rural Health Opportunities Program(RHOP) Scholarship. He also earned the Presidential Academic Excellence Award and was a Believers & Achievers school nominee.

Julia Flores received the Mid-Plains Community College Inter-High Day Scholastic Competition Scholarship.

Jared Gafke received the Veteran’s Administration Tuition Assistance Scholarship and the St. Patrick High School Student Council Scholarship. Jared also earned the Presidential Academic Excellence Award, Top Senior Speaker Award, and the SPVA ACT Top 10 Medal.

Macy Granger received the following scholarships: Mount Marty College Catholic Leadership Award, Mount Marty College Merit Scholarship, Fort Hays State University Academic Opportunity Award in Communication Studies, Fort Hays State University City Silver Academic Award, Benedictine College Award Scholarship, Robert E. & Margaret E. Rea Scholarship, St. Patrick High School Student Council Scholarship, McDaid Aide Scholarship, and the North Platte Art League Outstanding Artist. She also earned the Presidential Academic Excellence Award and the Greg Gerdes Award.

Alex Harms received the following scholarships: McDaid Aide, KofC Council #1211, Nebraska Officials Foundation Bill Lewis, Sharon Goffena Memorial, American Legion Auxiliary Chapter 163, Ag Valley Co-Op, Cash for College, Fort Hays State University Academic Opportunity Award Scholarship in Agriculture, Chadron State College Myrtle Stickney & Perry Moody Scholarship in Agriculture, Wayne State College Leadership Award Scholarship, Rebounder Scholarship. He was also awarded the North Platte Catholic Schools “Outstanding Senior” Award, Monday Musicale Award, Outstanding Senior Musician, All State Music Award,Wendy’s High School Heisman School Nominee, Wendy’s High School Heisman State Male Winner, United States Marine Corps Distinguished Athlete, and earned the Presidential Academic Excellence award.

CharLeigh Kadlecek was awarded the Order of the Eastern Star-Holly Chapter #233 Scholarship and a York College JV Basketball Scholarship.

Brittany Lawrence received the Creighton University Founders Award Scholarship, Creighton University Volleyball Scholarship, National Achievement Scholarship Program Outstanding Participant Top 3% in Nation Award, and the Rebounder Scholarship. She also earned the U.S. Army Reserve Scholar/Athlete Award, Believers & Achievers School nominee, Omaha World-Herald All Academic Team Honorable Mention, North Platte Telegraph Academic All-Star School nominee, and the Presidential Academic Excellence Award.

Mark Mayfield received the following scholarships: Susan Thompson Buffett Scholarship, Mary Salcetti Pandorf Scholarship, Briar Cliff University Academic Scholarship, Nebraska Wesleyan University Archway Scholarship, Nebraska Wesleyan University Achievement Scholarship, and the American Red Cross “Young Minds Change Lives” Scholarship. He earned the Presidential Academic Excellence Award.

Karlie Osborne received the Miss Teen Rodeo of Nebraska Scholarship from North Platte Community College.

Collin Pieper received the following scholarships: University of Nebraska David Distinguished Scholar, Nebraska Wesleyan University Board of Governors, Nebraska Wesleyan University Achievement, Nebraska Wesleyan University Legacy, S.A.I.N.T.S. scholarship, Ag Valley Co-Op, Al Robinson Memorial, American Red Cross “Young Minds Change Lives” scholarship. He was awarded the U.S. Army Reserve Scholar/Athlete Award, U.S. Marine Corps Scholastic Excellence Award, Omaha World-Herald All Academic Team Honorable Mention, North Platte Telegraph Academic All-Star Team Award, SPVA ACT Top 10 Medal, and earned the Presidential Academic Excellence Award.

Breelyn Saner received: Mary Salcetti Pandorf Scholarship, Knights of Columbus Council #1211 Scholarship, Chandler Snyder Memorial Scholarship through the KofC Council #1211, Eagles Aerie Auxiliary #2839, Concordia University Dean’s Scholarship, Mount Marty College Honor’s Scholarship, Mount Marty College Catholic Leadership Award, St. Patrick High School Student Council Student of the Year Award. She earned the Presidential Academic Excellence Award and the U.S. Marine Corps Distinguished Athlete Award.

Jamison Smith received: Mary Salcetti Pandorf Scholarship, Saint Mary’s College-Notre Dame Dean’s Scholar for Academic Achievement Scholarship, Colorado State University Presidential Scholarship, Creighton University Founders Award, Nebraska Wesleyan University Board of Governors Scholarship, Nebraska Wesleyan University Achievement Scholarship, University of Nebraska-Lincoln James Canfield Scholarship, University of Nebraska-Lincoln Education and Human Sciences Scholar Scholarship. She earned the Wendy’s High School Heisman Female School winner, Presidential Academic Excellence Award, and the SPVA ACT Top 10 medal.

Andrew Thalken received the Mid-Plains Community College Inter-High Day Scholastic Competition Scholarship. He was awarded the John Phiillip Sousa Award.

Tristen Winder received the Mid-Plains Community College Inter-high Day Scholastic Competition Scholarship. He was awarded “First Chair” for music.

The total scholarship money  awarded to the Class of 2014 is $1,408,375.
