Employees of Nebraskaland National Bank in North Platte are conducting random acts of kindness around town.
The campaign began on May 1 and will continue through May 14, Nebrakandland National Bank spokeswoman Danielle Nichols said
So far, the employees gave May Day baskets to the local fireman, donated to overdue student lunch accounts at North Platte Public Schools, assisted Keep North Platte Lincoln County Beautiful with tree planting, grilled for the Golden Spike Community Days, surprised two people at the bank's ATM with a $25 Visa Gift Card, surprised two t-ball teams with new caps, water bottles and treats and hosted a Bingo Night at Centennial Park Retirement Village.
The Random Acts will continue each day until May 14.
The bank will host a “Sweet 16” anniversary celebration from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on May 14 at the main bank buiding. The final two acts will occur then, at 11 a.m. The community is invited to enjoy cake, candy and other treats.
Nichols said all the random acts of kindness have been posted to the bank’s facebook and twitter profiles using the hashtag, #NLNB16Acts. The facebook is at www.facebook.com/nebraskalandbank
