Victoria I. Winder

Victoria Winder was convicted Monday of attempted terrorism and third-degree assault in Lincoln County District Court.

Winder pled no contest to the charge. She was sentenced to 364 days on each count, to be served at the same time.

Winder has been in jail for 231 days since she was arrested Sept. 16.

She received credit for time served.

She was initially charged with three crimes, after police responded to the 1500 block of W. Fourth on a reported disturbance.

Kent Winder, 43, told police that his wife Victoria, 40, brandished a large serrated kitchen knife and threatened to kill him and then kill herself.

Police found Winder in an agitated state in a downstairs bedroom.

In court Monday, Winder told the court that she is not prone to violence.

“I want the court to know that I might be a lot of things, but I’m not a violent person,” she said.
