• Holiday Inn Express (300 Platte Oasis Pkwy.) - Taste of the Plains. Locally produced food, wine and art. 5:30-8 p.m. $25        


Friday, May 2

• Lincoln Highway RV Park (Hwy. 30) - Honky Tonk BBQ festival. BBQ feed, kids carnival, bike show, exhibits, live music and beer garden.

• Lincoln Highway RV Park (Hwy. 30) - Live music featuring ZZ 3, a tribute band to ZZ-Top. 8 p.m.

• Sculley’s Shooters (2221 E. Fourth) – Live music featuring Whiskey Bent. Starts at 9 p.m. Cover charge.


Saturday, May 3

• Lincoln Highway RV Park - Honky Tonk BBQ festival. Breakfast, craft vendors, kids carnival, karaoke contest, live music and beer garden.

• Lincoln Highway RV Park (Hwy. 30) - Live music featuring The Randall Zwarte Band. 9 p.m.

• Sculley’s Shooters (2221 E. Fourth) – Live music featuring Whiskey Bent. Starts at 9 p.m. Cover charge.

• Lincoln County Fairgrounds - Lincoln County Raceway Test and Tune. 7 p.m. Adults $10; Kids 6-12 $5.


Sunday, May 4

• Golden Spike Tower and Visitors Center (1249 Homestead Rd.) - Community Day. Free admission to the Spike.

• Cody Park (1402 N. Jeffers) - Spring Fling craft show. 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

• Indian Meadows Public Golf Course - Lincoln County Crime Stoppers 20th annual golf tournament. 4 person scramble. 9 a.m. $140 entry fee. 

 

Monday, May 5

• Victory Church of God (3121 West A) - Blackwood Quartet in concert, 6:30 p.m Doors open at 5:45 p.m.


Tuesday, May 6

• Neville Center (301 E. 5th) - Town Hall Lecture Series featuring storyteller, producer and author of Burn Down the Ground,  Kambri Crews. 10:30 a.m. Admission by season tickets, $60 for four lectures, available at the door.

• North Platte High School Performing Arts Center - NPHS musicians present "Spectrum in Sound" concert. 7:30 p.m. Free event.


Wednesday, May 7

• Senior Center (901 E. 10th) - Dance to live music by Ray Mullen. 7-9:30 p.m. $4 admission. Bring finger food.

• Sculley’s Shooters (2221 E. Fourth) – Live music featuring Paisty Jenny. Starts at 9 p.m. Cover charge.


Friday, May 9

• A to Z Books – Open Mic Nite, 7-10 p.m. Performances by veterans and newcomers. James Burke is special guest. Freewill donation.


Saturday, May 10

• Sculley’s Shooters (2221 E. Fourth) – Live country music featuring James Burke Band. Starts 9 p.m. Cover charge.

• North Platte Recreation Center (1300 McDonald Rd.) - Happy Trails 5K/15K Challenge. Registration 7-7:45 a.m. Kids mile 8 a.m.

• Lighthouse Foursquare Church (2001 West A & Carr) - Recording artist, cowboy evangelist and poet Steven Spalding performs. 7 p.m.

• Mid Plains Community College South Campus (601 W. State Farm Rd.) - Color Dash 5K. 2 p.m.


Monday, May 19

• Neville Center (Fox Theater, 5th & Bailey) – Concert by John Davidson. Live tribute to the music of the Beatles. Admission by annual membership. $50. 7:30 p.m.


Wednesday, May 21

• Senior Center (901 E. 10th) - Dance to live music by Ray Mullens. 7-9:30 p.m. $4 admission. Bring finger food.
