Construction began on Rodeo Road Wednesday morning near Sycamore St., the start of a renovation project that will last into the summer.
The road will be repaved and traffic restricted to one westbound lane during the first phase of the project.
Construction will continue all the way to Mills Ave., near Buffalo Bill Ave.
Some intersections may close as construction crews move through the area, the city engineering department said.
Motorists are advised to use caution in the area and expect some delays.
The contractor is Western Engineering of North Platte.
