St. Pat's reaches fundraising goalTell North Platte what you think

Thanks to the generosity of many contributors, St. Patrick’s Catholic Schools reached its $2.5 million mark in pledges and contributions for its major fundraising campaign, St. Pat’s Endowment director Wendy Dodson announced Friday.

“We are extremely grateful to all who have pledged and given to this important campaign for our North Platte Catholic Schools,” Dodson said.

The first project on the Forward in Faith list is the roof at St. Pat’s High School, followed by remodeling and renovations to the front entrance at St. Pat’s.

Other projects included in the campaign are: Renovations to the front offices at St. Pat’s; Security enhancements at St. Pat’s and McDaid; Technology upgrades at St. Pat’s and McDaid; Replacement of HVAC units at both schools; Funding for the Endowment; And the construction of a new Athletic and Bus Storage facility.

Dodson said the endowment is especially thankful to several major donors who were instrumental.

“The Keenan family made a generous gift in memory of their parents James and Betty, to be designated for the front entryway/entrance project. NebraskaLand National Bank is generously underwriting the technology piece of the campaign, and 1965 graduate Michael Dillon of Lincoln is making the athletic/bus facility possible.”

Dodson said although several large donors stepped up to help, gifts at all levels were what allowed the Endowment to reach goal.

The Forward in Faith projects will be completed in priority order as funds allow, she said. Campaign pledges were pledged for delivery over a five-year time period, so Dodson adds that it is important for donors to remain faithful to their pledges.
