Two hundred pounds of pot seized in I-80 bustTell North Platte what you think

A traffic stop on I-80 in Dawson County Thursday led to the seizure of 206 pounds of marijuana and two arrests.

Around 9:30 a.m., a trooper stopped an eastbound 2013 Chrysler minivan about two miles west of the Overton exit on I-80 for lane departure/failure to maintain lane.

A Dawson County Sheriff’s Department canine was summoned and indicated the odor of drugs coming from the vehicle. That led to a search of the vehicle, which turned up 206.3 pounds of marijuana in vacuum sealed bags inside six trash bags in the cargo area of the minivan.

The driver, Mailee Xiong (FM), 44, and a passenger in the vehicle, Xou Vang (M), 43, both of St. Paul, Minn. were taken to the Dawson County Jail, charged with possession with intent to deliver.
