Deadline nears for Ranch Practicum scholarships Tell North Platte what you think

Scholarships pf $175 are available on a first-come, first-served basis for livestock producers from the Twin Platte Natural Resources District who apply by May 1 and participate in the 2014 Ranch Practicum from the University of Nebraska Extension.

Scholarships are paid after the successful completion of the Practicum. Contact the Twin Platte Natural Resources District office or www.tpnrd.org for more information about Ranch Practicum scholarships.

The Ranch Practicum is a three season, hands-on educational program designed to give participants additional skills and education in today’s complex ranching industry. Six of the eight sessions will be held at the Gudmundsen Sandhills Laboratory near Whitman, with two sessions held at North Platte.

Practicum registrations are due to UN-L Extension by May 2, but the deadline to receive $50 off the registration cost is April 18.
