Library program to feature Nebraska authorsTell North Platte what you think

Nebraska Authors, Volume 1, a book by Nancy Hansen and Barbara Dush-Micek, is the next program in the Brown Bag series at the North Platte Public Library at noon Friday, April 4.

Former sports writer Nancy Sue Hansen and Nebraska journalist Micek have teamed up to present a twist on Nebraska history.  Both Nebraska history lovers, Nancy and Barb have interviewed, researched and written 52 stories in their book Nebraska Authors Volume One, library spokeswoman Terri Johnson said.

The  432-page book features authors selected at random from lists of Nebraska authors compiled by the two writers.  The late author Billy Thornburg of North Platte made the list.

The two Nebraska natives invite readers to discover the United States and world history through the pens of Nebraska authors.

This program is free, but seating is limited.  Please call the library at 308-535-8036, Ext. 3310 to reserve a seat.  Attendees are welcome to bring their own lunch.  Water and coffee will be provided.
