Laura Dugger, 48, of North Platte was taken to the hospital Tuesday afternoon after a T-bone collision at the intersection of Jeffers and Francis.

The collision occurred around 1:30 p.m., police said.

Dugger’s car, a Nissan Xterra, was hit in the driver’s side by a Chevy Silverado pickup driven by Kent Sayer, 42, of North Platte.

Sayer was southbound in the middle lane of Jeffers. He could not remember if the light was green or red when he entered the intersection and hit Dugger’s car, he told police officer Troy Erickson.

The traffic light was partially obstructed with snow, Erickson said.

Dugger said the light turned green. She pulled out and was watching a white truck to be sure it stopped, and didn’t see Sayer’s red pickup.

Dugger’s car was totaled. She suffered disabling injuries in the area of her head and was taken by ambulance to Great Plains Regional Medical Center, according to the report.

Sayer’s pickup sustained an estimated $2,500 in damages.
