Trooper seizes 122 pounds of potTell North Platte what you think

A traffic stop on I-80 near Gothenburg Sunday led to the seizure of 122 pounds of marijuana and the arrest of a California man.

Around 3:18 p.m., a Nebraska State trooper stopped an eastbound 2013 Chevy Impala for driving on the shoulder near the I-80 Gothenburg exit, Nebraska State Patrol spokeswoman Deb Collins said. 

Collins said the trooper was given consent to search the car and found 122 pounds of marijuana in six duffel bags in the trunk.

The driver and lone occupant, Toua Thao, a 47-year-old man from Fresno, Calif., was takend to the Dawson County jail, charged with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver.
