Mail: Applications open for CASA child advocatesTell North Platte what you think

At the monthly CASA directors' meeting, our executive director reported that there are presently 20 trained advocates serving 39 children (26 cases).

We have been slowly growing our program over the past two years in Lincoln County, but we are only about halfway there.  There are 42 children not being served by a CASA.

How can you help? CASA is offering an online training opportunity in late April, and is taking applications now. Contact Vicki Lawton at lincolncountcasa@gmail.com for more information.  Still don't think you are ready to be an advocate? We need volunteers on the resource and volunteer committees as well.

Or, you can always make a tax deductible contribution to our charitable organization at PO Box 1604, North Platte 69103. Join our Facebook page, run in our SuperHero 5K on April 5, or have us come speak to your group anytime.

Sincerely,  Julie Nielsen, CASA Board Member
