Best of ANAC show

The North Platte Art Gallery is hosting the Association of Nebraska Art Clubs traveling show from March 7-27.

The annual ANAC show is comprised of works of art from 43 art clubs across Nebraska. View the award winning art works at the Art and Gift Gallery downtown at 516 N. Dewey. The gallery is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.

Also during March, the area high school art show is on display.

Established in 1965, the ANAC hosts an annual conference where artists from large and small communities across Nebraska gather to participate in workshops and display their best art in a state show.

A nationally-known artist is selected to judge more than 350 plus pieces of art and select the 25 pieces that become the traveling show.

These award winning art works travel throughout Nebraska for 12 months, giving people all across the state an opportunity to view the show.
