Sheriff seeks owners of missing gunsTell North Platte what you think

The Lincoln County sheriff is looking for the owners of three guns that were found recently during a search of a house in North Platte.

On Feb. 27, the sheriff’s office served a search warrant and found three firearms that were thought to be stolen. Additionally, the residents were convicted felons and prohibited from possessing firearms.

Investigators were told the guns were stolen out of the attic of a house somewhere in Lincoln County, but they do not know exactly where.

If you are missing old guns from an attic, contact the sheriff’s office.

“As of now, we don’t believe anyone has reported these guns as stolen,” Chief Deputy Roland Kramer said. “You might help arrest another person for burglary."

Contact Sgt. Dustin Achenbach at (308) 535-9599. Be prepared to provide a detailed description of your stolen firearms.
