Police interrupt domestic dispute

On Friday at approximately 5:15 p.m., officers responded to a trailer house in the 2400 block of West Ninth to check on the welfare of children there.

A domestic dispute was underway when police arrived between Ashley Linden, 22, and Duane Patnode, 22.

There were obvious signs of injury and two children were present, according to the police report. The children were physically uninjured, police said, but during the investigation police found drug paraphernalia.

Patnode was jailed on charges of child abuse and third-degree domestic assault, class 1 misdemeanors. His bond was set at $10,000. Linden was cited for child abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police notified the Department of Health and Human Services of the incident and the presence of drug paraphernalia.

An investigation is ongoing, police said.
