March will roar in like a lion and the temperature will plummet this weekend, driving wind chill values to 15-25 below zero, the National Weather Service in North Platte says.

Up to two inches of snow are predicted Friday night in northern Nebraska, with as much as five inches of new snow forecast through Sunday.

Winds will gust above 20 miles an hour through the weekend, driving wind-chills far below zero throughout the weekend, the weather services says.

Exposed skin can freeze within minutes when exposed to extreme wind-chills. Be sure to prepare and bundle up before going outside.
