• Neville Center (Fox Theater, 5th & Bailey) – Sons of the Pioneers perform the music of the west. Admission by annual membership. $50. 7:30 p.m.

• Sculley’s Shooters (2221 E. Fourth) – Live country music featuring Bases Loaded. Starts at 9 p.m. Cover charge.

• The Bar in HERSHEY - Mardi gras party with live music by MoJo. No cover. 9 p.m.-close. 2 nights.

• North Platte Recreation Center (1300 McDonald Rd.) - Teen dance. 8-10:30 p.m.

Tuesday, March 4

• North Platte Community College (McDonald-Belton Theater, 601 W. State Farm Rd) - Spring music concert. 7:30 p.m. The theme is the classics of classical, gospel, jazz and rock.

Wednesday, March 5

• Senior Center - Dance to live music by Ray Mullen. 7-10 p.m. $4 admission. Bring finger food.

Friday, March 7

• North Platte High School Performing Arts Center (1000 1st St.) - Live performance of the Wizard of Oz begins. 7 p.m.

Saturday, March 8

• North Platte High School Performing Arts Center (1000 W. 1st St.) - Live performance of the Wizard of Oz continues. 7 p.m.

• United Methodist Church (1600 McDonald Rd.) - Kiwanis Club pancake feed. 7 a.m.-1 p.m. Adults: $5, children: $3.

• North Platte Senior Center (901 E. 10th) - Bingo. 6:30-7:30 p.m.

Sunday, March 9

• North Platte High School Performing Arts Center (1000 W. 1st St.) - Live performance of the Wizard of Oz concludes. 7 p.m.

Tuesday, March 11

• North Platte Public Library - Book discussion on Once Upon a Town presented by Barbara Mohrman. 2:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.

• Senior Center (901 E. 10th) - Dance to live music by Lou Krause. 7-10 p.m. $4 admission. Bring finger food.

Friday, March 14

• A to Z Books – Open Mic Nite, 7-10 p.m. Performances by veterans and newcomers. The theme is seafaring. Freewill donation.

• North Platte Public Library - Discussion on candy of 1940 and the Canteen cookbook, by Cecilia Lawrence. 2:30 p.m.

• North Platte Downtown - St. Patrick's Day Parade followed by Irish music by Flat Rock Irregulars at Espresso Shoppe. 10 a.m.

• D & N Event Center (501 E. Walker Rd.) - MCF9 St. Patty's Beatdown. Midwest Championship Fighting. 7 p.m.

• North Platte Public Library - Discussion on the candy of 1940 and Canteen cookbook by Cecilia Lawrence. 2:30 p.m.
